Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where do I go to learn more about your church?

A: Welcome! We're excited to have you visit. The best place to start is our Welcome Kiosk, located in the main entry of the church. Our friendly parishoners and staff can provide you with information about our services, programs, and how to get connected. You can also visit our website's "About Us" section for an overview of our beliefs, mission, and history.

Q: What denomination are you?

A: We consider ourselves an independent Christian Church. While we are not affiliated with a specific denomination, we embrace the universal (catholic) nature of the Christian faith, welcoming believers from all traditions and backgrounds. Our focus is on following the teachings of Jesus Christ and fostering a community rooted in love, faith, and service.

Q: Are you Roman Catholic?

A: No, we are not Roman Catholic, but we do indentify as Catholic, meaning we embrace the universal nature of the Christian faith. The first known use of "Catholic" was by early christian church father Ignatius of Antioch in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans in 110 AD, the word simply means universal in greek. Ignatius was explaining that we Christians are part of one universal church started by Jesus Christ. We are in full communion with the Charismatic Old Catholic Church, which shares our commitment to the teachings of the Christ. We maintain a rich liturgical tradition while welcoming individuals from diverse Christian backgrounds.

Q: Is there a youth ministry for my children?

A: Yes, we have a vibrant youth ministry that caters to children ages 4-13. Our dedicated youth leaders create a safe and engaging environment where children can learn about faith, build friendships, and grow spiritually.

Q: What version of the Bible do you use?

A: We understand that there are many translations of the Bible, and because we have Christians from many backgrounds in our congregation, we primarily use the New American Bible (NAB) and the New International Version (NIV). We welcome and encourage everyone to bring their preferred translation. However, the church does believe that Holy Scripture includes ALL 72 books, making up the unabridged Holy Bible. Like many of the early Church Fathers, we also hold the "apocrypha" books in high esteem, viewing them as valuable for modeling virtue and morals, even though they do not settle points of doctrine and are not considered part of the canonical scriptures. With that being said, it has never been a point of contention because of our main focus on The Holy Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, with are included in both Protestant and Catholic version of The Bible. Remember, We are a Full Gospel Church.

Q: Do you have a Sunday School class?

A: Absolutely! We offer Sunday School classes for ages 4-13, you are welcome to bring your infants and toddlers to worship with you in the pews. We aspire to be a family friendly atmosphere. Classes are held every Sunday at starting at 10:20 AM, right before our main worship service. You can find more information and register your children at the Welcome Center or online through our website.

Q: What should I wear to your services?

A: Come as you are! We encourage everyone to wear what makes them feel comfortable. You will see a range of attire from casual jeans and t-shirts to more formal outfits. The most important thing is that you join us for worship and fellowship.

Q: Can I take Communion at your church?

A: Yes, we have an open table for Communion. This means that anyone who has given their life to Jesus Christ through belief and baptism is welcome to participate, regardless of denomination or background. We celebrate Communion every Sunday. If you're new and would like more information about our Communion practices, feel free to speak with our pastor or visit the "Worship" section on our website.

Q: What do you believe?

Our core beliefs include the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation through faith in Christ, and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
